Samsoe & Samsoe has landed at John Lewis! Some absolute Autumn/Winter staples that are definitely being added to my wardrobe as we speak.
John Lewis, a household name that just keeps giving, known for its great customer service and their price promise of ‘Never knowingly undersold’ – and of late, their absolutely amazing Christmas TV ads (I for one start the countdown to Christmas when I see it).
Whilst John Lewis have always been my go-to for anything homeware/electrical I’ve never really thought of them as a fashion department store. Recently they’ve really upped their game in terms of menswear.
I’ve been looking to update my AW16 staples for some time this led me to John Lewis and a certain brand called Samsoe & Samsoe.
Samsoe & Samsoe, is a really cool and modern brand. They focus on creating exclusive Scandinavian designed garments and aiming to provide quality at a price that doesn’t break the bank.
John Lewis have a great range of products available from Samsoe and Samsoe, here are my top picks for my AW16 wardrobe:
Normally I opt for a chunky knit jumper ready for the winter but this waffle knit can easily replace my chunky knits. Its clear design and versatile colour means it can be styles with a nice blue denim for a casual style or equally a black denim/trouser for a slightly smarter look. At £130 it’s not the cheapest, but definite quality guaranteed.
I genuinely can’t live without my basic tees, with grey being a key part of my wardrobe. For Autumn, I generally pair my tees with a bomber jacket. With this grey tee I would rock it with either a khaki or a black bomber jacket. It’s only £25 which means they’re more of an investment than say a basic Topman tee but will definitely last 3 times as long!
Nipping to the local for a few drinks? Dress down Friday at work? These are all the perfect occasions to wear something classic yet cool like this navy polo shirt. I’d personally pair it with a lighter jean to really show the depth of the navy. It’s £60 so slightly more expensive than basic polo, but definitely something timeless and 100% not season dependent.
All in all, a great launch for the self-proclaimed Scandinavian design experts.
